I'm so excited to use these with blow-dry services especially when, hopefully, may hair is a bit longer. Maybe that's how I can test this oil! Nonetheless, I am really loving hair oils nowadays. Serums before are super sticky but I think they've started to realize that it's really humid here in the Philippines - thus the "lightweight" formulations. I used to believe that brushing the hair 100 times will make my hair healthier, longer and shinier. So, I tried to do so because when I was young, I wanted to grow my hair as long as Usagi's (Sailor Moon)... Instead, it made my hair frizzier and it damaged my hair because of the friction. I learned that it is important to choose the right tools and use them in moderation to prevent hair from breakage. It's also important to choose the right products for your hair needs. =)
ReplyDeleteone hair myth that ive grown with is the story about NOT sleeping when my hair is still wet. on their story I should brush my hair in front of electric fan until it dries.. or else... i will get blind! Oh noh!!! that would be a disaster for me.. I am so scared about it, that until now, I am still practicing it. hehehe

ReplyDeleteThis is an idea that’s been around for a long time: "RINSING HAIR WITH ICE COLD WATER AFTER WASHING AND CONDITIONING WILL INCREASE HAIR'S SHINE." Hairstylists love to spread this gospel. Their rationale is that, the icy water will make the cuticle of your hair close so it's flat and light-reflective, not ruffled and dull-looking. However, I disagree! because I have tried this method several times and I honestly see no difference. The only difference is that I wind up with a bunch of cold water dripping down my neck. huhu! I'll rather stick with warm water and by using conditioners and styling products that contain silicones and oils to smoothen my hair cuticles. And limit the damage to my hair from straightening treatments, hot tools, and frequent dyeing. My hair is long, color treated (though not bleached), with oily roots, dry and frizzy ends which are a huge problem for me; the fact that I try to keep it as long as possible does not help. My friend, Sarah recommended me this product and she once told me that, It truly makes her hair smooth and so so soft without making it heavy and greasy. She also told me that, 'this oil can be used as a serum on wet hair before styling, or as a leave in conditioner on dry or wet hair. Works okay as all three. It does help get the ends nice and smooth with heat styling. It also gives nice, glossy shine.' So after hearing those lovely positive feedbacks from Sarah, No doubts I'm going to buy a Mythic Oil from Loreal for my hair once I get a budget. I used to believe that by pouring on beer on my hair will make my locks shinier and healthier. It's so grossed actually. But I think with the help of Mythic oil I don't have to do that tedious process and just enjoy this wonderful creation from L'Oreal. I will surely enjoy styling my hair without the yucky feeling. Bathing my hair in mayonnaise. Yes, i smelled like sandwich for a couple of days. No amount of shampooing can remove the smell. I have to ride a jeepney to go to the city one time and I swear I looked out all the time, because I'm afraid I'm smelly all ride long. :)Now, no more mayo for me, not unless i'm not going out maybe.
