Emerald Oriental

Saturday, December 28, 2013

Oriental is one the fashion trends this 2013 and when translated to makeup, it means bright and expressive because of the strength of color, features and some precision.

Specifically, I love Arabian, Japanese and Indian cultural makeup. The one I made below is a mix of some - porcelain skin, light lips, and the slanting and pointed liner from Japanese, thick eyeliners and shadows from Arabian and Indian and some jewel-toned colors.Hope you like it and let's express loe for the Orient!!

Here are the products I used:
Eyebrow: The Benefit Browzings
Eyeshadow (All colors): BYS Cosmetics Palette
Eyeliner: Catwalk Cosmetics Harajuku Liner
Falsies: All-Belle
Cheek Color: Bronze from ELF Complete the look Palette
Lip Color: Laura Mercier Creme Smooth in Angelic

Here's how I made it:
Step 1: Use a bright semi-matte base (well, you can also use glittery pigments). This one is a good Emerald shade from BYS which I'll review soon!
Step 2: Create a big crease with a darker color. Don't be afraid to mix, I used brown in this case but you ca use black or other brights too.
Step 3: Further the crease line with a dark shadow, like black as you can see below.
Step 4: Line the lower eye with a bright color or you can match the crease color with brown or black.
Step 5: Falsies!
Step 6: Line it with liquid liner extremely ;)

Hope you liked it!
