Laura Mercier Caviar Stick

It's so hard comparing my favorite brands but whenever I see new products that are almost the same, I can't help but criticize. Caviar Stick Eye Colour is defined as "a long-wearing, creamy shadow with an innovative, lightweight texture that glides on and adheres to the eyelid perfectly, leaving an even finish that lasts for hours" Let's see how it fares vs pigmented eyeshadow brands and of Bobbi Brown's.
Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour (permanent)
SRP: PHP 995
Availability: Rustan's Department Stores

(+) the most wide range of colors: 16 different hues (NEW: Orchid, Sugar Frost, Seashell, Sandglow, Grey Pearl, Pink Opal, Mint Snow, Rosegold EXISTING: Plum, Amethyst, Steel, Sapphire, Smoke, Jungle, Khaki, Cocoa). I got RoseGold which is very comparable to Bobbi Brown's Golden Pink.

(+) Obviously, both provide rich colour payoff but Laura gives a more skin-fit one (less bright and intense). Below shows that but also you can see it as applied in my lower lash line.
Swatch of Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Rosegold - 2 coats, blended with Laura Mercier Folklore eyeshadow (brown), with flash
(+/-) I agree that it glides on smoothly and evenly, does not drag at first application. It's creamy, lightweight formula blends easily but not when it already dried unlike Bobbi Brown's.
(+/-) Consistency is Ok, it might look a bit runny at close but really nice and dimensional from afar

(+/-) Water-resistant formula imparts long wearing eye colour (8 hour wear). It's also transfer- and crease-resistant. Although it's quite hard to remove so make sure you use a good cleansing oil.
(+) Formula sets smoothly after about a minute, allowing for ample playtime. After setting, formula does not move, looking freshly-applied all day. And I really like how it doesn't look too thick.
(+) Convenient stick form allows for easy application.
(+) Comfortable formula is non-drying on eyelid. Dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested.
(+) Best applied directly to lash line for a liner effect (which is the best way of application for this product), or all over eye lid as a crème shadow. Blend with the Crème Eye Detail Brush or fingertips for a smoldering finish. Removes easily with Laura Mercier Dual Action Eye Makeup Remover.

Overall, Laura is more affordable than Bobbi Brown's color stick and there are more characteristics unique to them that each and everyone of us can make advantage of. As for me, I would prefer Laura more as a regular makeup user because I like having good colour that stays. It doesn't mean that I hate Bobbi Brown too much because it's very good in its blending property and a lot more, but caviar sticks in general address the weaknesses of dry eyeshadows in terms of lasting power and convenience so I would prefer  the one that has what the latter doesn't have. Nonetheless, as a make up artist, I would definitely consider repurchasing both.
