REVIEW: The Body Shop Camomile Makeup Removers + GIVEAWAY

One thing I'll do more as I go back to beauty blogging is doing product reviews and I think that this is a first this quarter, and a first for this category!

As a heavy eye makeup user (I like claiming that haha), it takes time to apply layers and styles of makeup on the eyes. But it takes as much time removing it especially when using hardworking products (water-proof, long-wear, etc). But unlike the usual facial products, I learned the hard way that the eye area is the most sensitive part of the skin. And so I take so much time (and deliberation) on choosing and using gentle eye makeup removers for my full eye do. I'll share my latest discovery below.

The Body Shop Eye Makeup Removers* SRP: approx P400

I know Camomile as a soothing agent and I like that it has become an ingredient in makeup removers, thanks to The Body Shop. I got the full range of the Camomile but I wanna focus on the eye products because these are the kinds I'm currently really exploring.

The Body Shop Chamomile  Waterproof Eye/Lip Makeup Remover on the most hardworking/long wearing eye and lip products that I have

The Body Shop released 2 from the line - one that is waterproof and one that is "gentle".

The latter is more creamy and lotion-type while the former is a mixture with oil. I demonstrated above the work of the waterproof version and I must say that it lifted away all the stubborn but hard-working products that i own and use (most of the time) without having to rub my eyes - but this is a NO-NO! See my #RemoveYourMakeupMovement tips below.

After wiping with cotton
I usually don't want too strong removers for the eyes and I can already sense that through the smell. But these are free of  fragrance, color and alcohol and are suited for sensitive eyes and contact-lens wearers. My eyes become dry after hours of using contact lens and this didn't worsen my problem.

The gentle version (as you can see above and I will demo below) is a bit weaker but I like using it more because it's more moisturizing after.I have more photos to illustrate my love for this, and with tips that hopefully can save you from fine lines, wrinkles and impurities around the eye area that I'm now suffering because I was stubborn before.

1. Eyes: The most sensitive part of the face. Use cotton or cloth that are gentle yet great in removing makeup. The Body Shop has a super fine muslin cloth that you can also opt to use.

2. When removing eye products, do not just rub. Especially when removing hard core mascara, make sure you place the pigment down first then lift it away in an upward stroke. This way, skin will not sag.

3. Don't forget to clean eye glasses because makeup can also stick to the temples, etc.

Quickly, let's also review the Silky Cleansing Oil which is a very efficient cleanser as it removes makeup quickly. It's a bit thicker in consistency than the known cleansing oils but it does deliver on removing yet purifying the skin.

I tried removing pigments on my arm and even the shimmers were removed!

Without washing, you can tell how soft and clean the skin is after. of course, there is still a need to wash the face after to get rid of the oil.
